Su obra toma<br />como punto de partida la pintura, pero justamente aquella que circula en la vida real y que él adquiere<br />comprando “cuadros-hechos” en los mercadillos. Falagán se apropia de las escenas de caza, bodegones,<br />marinas o paisajes convencionales para llenarlos de objetos extraños que conviven sin dificultad ayudados<br />por anotaciones y leyendas. Como pies de foto, o textos de viñetas, las anotaciones resuelven las sorprendentes<br />relaciones entre los personajes autóctonos de los cuadros, y los invasores o recién llegados.<br />Las pinturas de Julio Falagán son frescos collages a medio camino<br />entre el cómic, la ilustración y la sátira de bases conceptuales.<br />Por norma general, aunque su vastaobra se organiza en múltiples series,<br />recurre a la fórmula del acertijo o enigma.<br /><br />ESTE JUEVES 17, en LA MONA CHECA Vintage Market & Art, organizaremos un GUATEQUE (como marca la tradición) como apertura a la exposición del joven artista Julio Falagán.
